How to reduce food waste

  • Take care of your leftovers, eat them for lunch the next day or freeze them for later.

  • Do you have many smaller portions? Make a smorgasbord and serve them all together.

  • Plan your meals for a week and shop all at once.

  • If your fruits and veggies are looking “tired” freeze them or use them in a stew, casserole, or soup.

  • Freeze brown bananas and use in smoothies or make banana bread.

  • Slice your bread and keep them in a plastic bag in the freezer. Defrost or toast them right away.
